Altadena resident—author of "Sounds of Poetry: the Simple Sad Collection" and "No Stranger to Work in the Wheel of Change: a Poetic Memoir, 1969-2014" (forthcoming, 2025)—Randel A. Horton explores spirituality, human personality, society, and culture as tools of empowerment, healing, happiness, gratitude and joy. His work—published in the Noble House Anthology, Theater of the Mind, the Altadena Literary Review Anthology (2020), live and recorded performances, including his New Times CD-mix of original poetry and smooth jazz, co-arranged and co-produced by him and the late Ron Brown—encourages dialog, self-reflection, and renewed commitments to our shared reality.
